The one I use is Boss TU-15. It has a bunch of different functions and takes AA Batteries. I bought this from an Ebay seller. I am not sure that local stores (in Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie area) carries it. I have seen it in some music stores in West Palm Beach. You can always try to buy one from online. People who play metal and rock guitar will really appriciate the different functions. It can also be used for open tunings too (for slide guitar). I learned my lesson when I used cheap ones. Sometimes, they don't work as well. This tuner also helps you to fix intonations.Write Comment (0 comments)
I've been using Planetwave's String Winder/Cutter for a few years. I love this little thing. Without it, changing strings takes forever!! I'd recommend it very strongly to every guitar / bass player. It should only cost $10 or so... When I teach guitar lessons, I usually tell my students to buy one, because it saves lots of time over the years. I am not sure that you can buy one in Port Saint Lucie / Fort Pierce area though. However, you can always buy one online. It comes with a lifetime warranty too. Please check it out. "Be careful of free guitar lessons. All over the internet you will find people giving you free guitar lessons and tabs. The problem with most of this is that they are just inaccurate information. Most of the tabs are illegal, wrong, or not quality. Now you can't argue with the price, but you won't really learn anything. So you decide you are willing to pay a little amount of money, maybe like $40 - $50 on an online ebook promising you how to learn in 3 days, Jimi Hendrix, and power over the world. Let me guess... That didn't work either.
Guitar lessons online should include videos, pictures, and print outs. They should also be taught by a professional guitar player. Guitar lessons should just be a small ebook you can read in 15 minutes. Make sure you get your money's worth of information. Your guitar lessons should include a step by step system that is proven and tested."

When I am teaching guitar lessons, I usually discover that most students don't listen to jazz enough even when they are learning how to play jazz. In Port Saint Lucie / Fort Pierce area, there are only few stores which sell these recordings. I'd recommend you to listen to them all, if you haven't. Trane is my all time favorite!!
