Do you have a list of favorite guitar players?  I have a long one.  Here are some of my favorite jazz guitar players whom I'd love to take some lessons from (some are no loner alive):  Pat Metheny, Mike Stern, John Scofield, John Abercrombie, Scott Henderson, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ben Monder, Peter Bernstein, Wayne Krantz, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Adam Rogers, Julian Lage, Joe Diorio, Brad Shepik, Jonathan Kreisberg, Bill Frisell, Steve Masakowski, Allan Holdsworth, Jim Hall, Charlie Christian, Wes Montgomery, Tal Farlow, Lenny Breau, Pat Martino, George Benson, Mark Whitfield, Russell Malone, Kenny Burrell, Grant Green and etc...  No matter what kind of music you play, these guys are worth checking out.  If you are a rock player, start with Scott Henderson, John Scofield, and Wayne Krantz.  If you are a shredder, check out  Allan Holdsworth, Jonathan Kreisberg, Adam Rogers, and of course, Pat Metheny and Mike Stern.  If you like someone bluesy, check out Kenny Burrell, Grant Green, George Benson and Mark Whitfield.  I am teaching private lessons in Fort Pierce & Port St. Lucie Area.  I always encourage my students to listen to at least some of these guys on this list.  They usually like some of them (even teenagers who mostly listen to only grunge music).  Why don't you try to explore your senses today?
